NEW YORK - Feb. 12, 2019 - Dataiku, one of the world's leading Enterprise AI and machine learning platforms, today expanded its footprint in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region with a new office opening in Sydney, Australia. The decision to increase the company's presence in APAC represents the next step in Dataiku's global growth strategy. The new office will soon employ dozens of data scientists and other client-facing roles who will help Dataiku's customers democratize the use of data through AI, machine learning and data science in the enterprise. Today's announcement now provides Dataiku with a physical footprint in APAC, North America, and Europe.
"Our new Sydney office extends Dataiku's mission to democratize data for the enterprise and effectively navigate through the ever-changing and complex world of AI," said Florian Douetteau, CEO of Dataiku. "We have a great team led by Steve Gilbert, and we are excited to immerse ourselves in the local community as we help our existing and prospective customers embrace this transformative power of AI in the enterprise."
Steve Gilbert, Sales Director, will lead the Dataiku Australia team, including building Dataiku's expansion in the APAC region. "We are actively hiring for dozens of new roles from data scientists to customer-facing positions across the region, specifically in the Sydney and Singapore markets," said Gilbert.
Hundreds of companies, from large Fortune 500s to small businesses, use Dataiku on a daily basis to enable and empower their organization to create, deploy and monitor scalable data products to solve industry-wide problems including fraud, supply chain optimization and predictive maintenance. With a stronger presence in APAC, the local region will have greater opportunity to leverage the newest technologies in data science and machine learning with Dataiku to better their business efficiencies.
Expanding to APAC builds upon the momentum and recognition Dataiku has received in recent months. In January, Dataiku was named a Challenger in the Gartner 2019 Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine-Learning Platforms and in December 2018, Dataiku announced its $101 million Series C round to transform and democratize Enterprise AI globally.
Dataiku is the centralized data platform that democratizes the use of data science, machine learning, and AI in the enterprise. With Dataiku, businesses are uniquely empowered to move along their data journey from data preparation to analytics at scale to Enterprise AI. By providing a common ground for data experts and explorers, a repository of best practices, shortcuts to machine learning and AI deployment/management, and a centralized, controlled environment, Dataiku is the catalyst for data-powered companies.
